Like most of our "vacations," the past six days will require significant recuperation time! But, I hope to post a report, replete with photos, soon.

Did you know that it takes 23,600 steps to hike from the parking lot at the base to the highest point in the state of Texas and back?

I've heard that in Kansas, the trip from lot to highest point and back is 36 steps.

Plus, you are off by a good 36 steps....no wait...you parked in slot #28, didn't you?

A man who is married to an accountant who owns an electronic pedometer...and who knows how to use it!

I'm off by more than just 36 steps (and none of them were all that "good"), if that was "vacation"!

I counted 21,980, but I have long legs. Love Guadalupe Park.....least crowded of all our National Parks and I hope it stays that way.
