Brevity Required, Levity Desired

Am I the last person on earth to know about The Four Word Film Review" website?

It's not all that edifying to those seeking real information about specific movies, but it has some wonderful gems for those who appreciate wordplay. This entry, for example, directed toward the ice hockey movie, Miracle: "Fellowship Of The Rink."

You're not the last person to know about FWFR. I've seen references to them all over the net, but never bothered to click on any of them. I did so now only because you mentioned them.

Truth is, I never listen to mainstream movie reviews. Most reviewers have an agenda which governs what they say. That's why "The Passion Of The Christ" was denounced as "anti-Semitic" even before those reviewers even saw the film. Now of course, they've changed their story and describe it as "too violent".

When it comes to movies, I'd rather listen the opinion of people I respect. Sadly, those are never the people in print. Unfortunately, the Chicago Sun Times publishes Robert Ebert's opinions rather than yours.

I can imagine The Cranky Critic (another internet movie site) reviewing Four Word Film Reviews.

Levity in brevity fails. :p
