Elevated Alert Level?

The following is a public service announcement.

If you live in or around the city of Midland, or if you are contemplating traveling in close proximity thereto (say, within a 50 mile radius), you need to understand that as of approximately 1:00 p.m. local time today, the Niece and Nephew (aka "The Kidwinks") are proud and very dangerous possessors of that most feared of all WMDs: the State of Texas Driver's Instruction Permit.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

We need to be especially cautious where that Midland alert circumference intersects with that of Lubbock. Look out Lamesa!

I'm glad Donald Rumsfeld has co-opted The Gazette to issue this Security Alert.

Teenagers with newly-acquired learner's permits definitely merits a regionally-based increase in National Security.

I've been trying for years now to convince our government to include teen-aged drivers in its listing of "possible and known terrorists". Sadly, nobody listens until after the fact.
