Spring? What Spring?
Does this look like spring to you?

At least we can enjoy the cold snap on Friday...
Jen, what's really bad is that the humidity (which is often around 10% or even less) is hovering at the 30% mark right now. We're used to the high temps out here, but not the humidity!
Posted by: Eric at June 16, 2004 04:14 PMRelying on The Whether Channel for an accurate 4 day forecast is like......well you might as well consult Nostradamus.
Posted by: wallace at June 16, 2004 10:38 PMI'd gladly trade humidity levels with you. Here in SW Missouri they are running high. Right now, at 4:52 am, the temp is 67 (not bad) but the humidity is 97%. It's been that way most of the past week.
Posted by: Denise at June 17, 2004 04:53 AMYOU CAN KEEP YOUR HUMIDITY! But, we can trade temperatures!!
Posted by: Bert at June 17, 2004 03:51 PM30% humidity is nothing! Our high temp today is around 90 degrees with 90% humidity. Try that...
Posted by: jen at June 17, 2004 04:10 PM90/90...that's obscene!
Posted by: Eric at June 17, 2004 05:19 PMObscene, yes. But it's also our daily weather all summer - hot, hazy, humid with a chance of thunderstorms in the late afternoon/evening. As a matter of fact we've had thunderstorms since about 6pm today. =)
Posted by: jen at June 17, 2004 09:28 PMSee...I'd be willing to tolerate *some* of that humidity if it would lead to rainfall. That's something we never get enough of around here.
But, I knew it was a desert when I moved here, so I can't really complain.
Posted by: Eric at June 17, 2004 10:10 PMHere we have rain off and on nearly daily because it's rainy season. Temps vary dramatically thruout the day from low 70's to low 100's. Fans, cooling rain showers and cold drinks are the best (and only) relief when the heat and humidity are high. No AC here anywhere. Most of the people walk everywhere they go. Many carry exceedingly heavy burdens.

Thanks for the reminder of why I'll never live any further south than I do already. And I am south of the Mason-Dixon line, barely.
That is way too hot, my friend. Ick. I'm sweating just looking at those temps.
