BTW, That looks like a LUFKIN unit.

Posted by: Jeremiah at August 12, 2004 11:06 PMJeremiah, sharp eye...it is indeed a Lufkin. Of course, since about 90% of the units in the Permian Basin are Lufkins, the odds were in your favor. ;-) Worth1000.com is one of my favorite PS sites; I'm awed by the skill of some of the contributors. I'm a rank amateur compared to them.
OTOH, Freen, b3ta is just *weird*!
Posted by: Eric at August 13, 2004 06:31 AMHey, that's very cool. I lurve Photoshop and spent all evening playing in it last night when I was supposed to be working on my mother's website.
Posted by: jen at August 13, 2004 03:46 PMJen, my problem is that I start playing with effects, I end up with something I like...and I can't remember how I got there! That's the case with this example. It involved playing around with Curves, deleting a channel, multiple Unsharp Masks, a couple of applications of Gaussian Blur, an Invert Image or two, and finally a layer to simulate a noisy sepia image...but I couldn't duplicate the effect to save my life.
Posted by: Eric at August 13, 2004 05:23 PMOh, forgot to mention.
if you want to see a really spiffy photoshop plugin, check this out: http://www.lucisart.com/

Uh oh.
You're succumbing to the horrible lure that IS Photoshop!
Soon you'll be regularly posting on
http://www.b3ta.com/
(There's an obligatory Freen warning for somewhat lewd/coarse content on that site, btw.)
