My rabidly Democrat neighbor made a similar noise while watching the tear-streaked Gore concession speech on TV.

I'm hoping I'll hear another eruption from him this November.

I was quite young when the big one occured, but I remember that a Republican took the white house that year. Of course an encumbant lost the white house -- so that doesn't help us much... Anyway, nice blog, I plan to stop by more.

The STRONGEST VOLCANO ERUPTION IN THE EARTH since 1912 was the MT. PINATUBO ERUPTION IN 1991. It was 4 X STRONGER THAN THE MT. ST. HELEN'S ERUPTION IN 1980.

Why did the United States put not just one military base, but 2 military bases, namely CLARK AIR FORCE BASE, SUBIC NAVAL BASE near that Mt. Pinatubo Volcano???? BECAUSE NEITHER THE PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT NOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT KNEW THAT THIS BIG MOUNTAIN WAS A VOLCANO WHICH LAST ERUPTED SOME 689 YEARS AGO WHEN PEOPLE STILL THOUGHT THE WORLD WAS FLAT!!!

For 676 years, Mt. Pinatubo lay dormant, silent as the United States used 2 of its largest military bases in the world, CLARK AIR FORCE BASE and SUBIC AIR FORCE BASE IN WARS SUCH AS WORLD WAR II, THE KOREAN WAR, THE VIETAM WAR.

THE UNITED STATES HAD A 100 YEAR LEASE ON THOSE MILITARY BASES, AND JUST ABOUT WHEN THE 100 YEARS LEASE WAS ABOUT TO EXPIRE, EXACTLY ON THE DAYS WHEN THE PHILIPPINE CONGRESS WAS DEBATING WHETHER TO ALLOW OR NOT ALLOW THE RENEWAL, AND FILIPINOS WERE MARCHING, PROTESTING AGAINST AMERICA AND THE PHILIPPINE CONGRESS, DEMANDING THAT ALL THESE MILITARY BASES WEAPONS OF WAR BE REMOVED FROM THE COUNTRY, AND PRAYING THEIR ROSARIES ON THE STREETS IN OBEDIENCE TO CHRIST'S SAYINGS WHICH WERE SOMETHING LIKE THESE IN THE GOSPELS, "where 2 OR MORE ARE GATHERED IN PRAYER, THERE I WILL BE IN THE MIDST OF THEM" AND "if you are not ashamed of me, I will not be ashamed of you in front of the father, .......... THIS MOUNTAIN WHICH NOBODY EVER THOUGHT WAS A VOLCANO, WAS ALSO STARTING ITS ROAR. AND AS THE DEBATES IN THE PHILIPPINE CONGRESS AND THE PROTESTS IN THE STREETS WERE GETTING HEATED, SO ALSO WAS THE ROAR OF THIS VOLCANO GETTING LOUDER AND MORE FREQUENT. AND JUST ABOUT WHEN THE UNITED STATES WAS ABOUT TO SUCEED IN CONVINCING THE MAJORITY OF PHILIPPINE CONGRESSMEN TO ITS SIDE, PINATUBO GAVE THE GREATEST OF ITS EXPLOSIONS, THE GREATEST OF ANY VOLCANO SINCE 1912, SCATTERING ASHES ALL OVER THE WORLD, COOLING THE EARTH BY 1.5 DEGREES CENTIGRADE WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY 3 DEGREES FARENHEIGHT--- SHUTTING UP ALL TALKS WORLDWIDE ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING WHICH WAS ALSO A HEATED TOPIC IN THE MANY MANY MONTHS BEFORE PINATUBO'S EXPLOSION.

If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can tell this mountain to move, AND IT WILL MOVE!!!!

Thousands of american soldiers personally not only saw and heard the mountain move; they also saw the mountain drive them and their weapons of war away!!! That's why when the USSR was falling, NOT ONE MISSILE WAS FIRED BY THE USA!!!
