Dawn Eden can delude herself as much as she likes, but she'll never be "cool", not in the mainstream sense. She probably wouldn't want to be and you probably wouldn't link to her if she was.
So why isn't she cool? For that matter what is "cool"?
According to Douglas Rushkoff, "cool" is something manufactured and controlled at all levels by the media. The media controls "pop" culture and therefore controls what is currently "cool".
That's the same media that's proven itself to be biased, anti-Christian, and on a political level, bitterly anti-Republican (more correctly anti-conservative).
"Cool" is what the media says it is.
As a result, these guys (and their contemporaries) are promoted not only as "cool" but as socially responsible role models for youth.
Somebody like Lindsey Mansfield would be very "cool", if she was a feminist author promoting abortion and promiscuity. Since she's not, she's very "uncool".
Coolness isn't just about what a person wears, it's about what a person thinks.
The media ensures that a very selective set of beliefs are considered "cool". They're advanced in the plots of TV shows and movies, the lyrics of songs, visual cues in advertising, even the "serious" presentation of the news.
Follow those precepts, dance to the media's string-pulling, and you're cool.
Repudiate them with so much as an ounce of individuality and you're not cool.
Being a Christian, promoting Christian-based ethics, and regularly criticizing a "cool" group like Planned Parenthood automatically makes a person deeply uncool.
...at least by mainstream standards.
