Pattie, I think you're exactly right. I don't know about Jack, but the rest of the commenters are in the demographic that went to school back when spelling and grammar were still considered important things to learn.

Demographic? Um, I should graduate from UT in three years... but I finished High School in 1984. What passes for language on campus these days is like nails on a chalkboard. (sigh) I blame IM.
