Springing forward, reluctantly

The clock on my monitor reads 8:55 PM as I type this, and in five minutes it will read 10:00 PM. Since it's doubtful that I'm able to invoke any kind rent in the space-time continuum, the only explanation that works is that I'm about to set my clock forward by one hour and prepare to slumber, perchance to dream. I've learned over the years that the only desperate hope I have of coping with a one-hour earlier rising is a one-hour earlier reclining. It's not much, but it's all I have. But, really, it's like bicycling in the wind. You never make up as much time coming back with the tailwind as you lost going out against the headwind.

Actually, now that I think about it, it's nothing like that at all. Ah, the heck with it. Just set your clock forward an hour and get on with your life. We'll catch you tomorrow.

Shall I once again expound on my theory of having every timepiece in the U.S. linked to the atomic clock?

Love the theory, Wallace...I'm just trying to visualize how you plan to connect our spring-wound anniversary clock to the system!
