I also want to know, with respect to the Sonic Drive-In commercial mentioned below, why the people are sitting in their parked car, eating their salads with "meat-based dressing" (how appetizing is that, btw?), and wearing their seatbelts?

My guess is that the director had to strap 'em in to make 'em say those lines.

I wasn't really sure I liked the two guys in Sonic's commercials until I saw their replacements.

Sonic... you might want to re-think this strategy!

Katt, maybe you've figured out their strategy! They hit us with this new loathsome couple, and then they bring back the two guys...and we love 'em! ;-)

Isn't that fabulous? I've seen it before (I may have even blogged it) but I still love it. It's a great juxtaposition of modern technology and the classic Rube Goldberg contraption (and don't depress me by telling me that you're too young to know who Rube Goldberg is!).
