How many times have you seen this?

An announcement from Apple...

Apple Computer Inc. yesterday introduced a version of its popular iTunes music software that includes a directory making it easier to find and listen to podcasts -- radio shows and other audio programs posted on the Internet for anyone to download.

...followed by a response from Microsoft...

Microsoft Corp. plans to offer podcasting-related technologies in the future, according to people familiar with the matter.

Of course, it must really chap Bill Gates' hide to have to admit getting behind technology, the very name of which is a tribute to Apple's innovation.

The Gospel of John is my 'favorite' of the Gospels. I am currently teaching a bible study on the the three Johannine Epsitles, having recently finished the study on the Gospel of John.

Despite my enthusiasms for all things John related, I have decided to retain the name of Jim. ;-)

Be that as it may, I am still grateful for the link and still think your blog is very cool, Ethan.

Sentience is not my strong suit.

But I did figure out what you were referring to, and have corrected it. My humble apologies, J-Man.

Don't forget that MS will "extend" the specification, too, just enough to make thier products not-quite-compatible with the old spec and all the old products completely incompatible with the new spec.

That's a given, of course, although in this case the train may have left the station sufficiently long enough ago that no one will even notice M$'s late arrival.
