Good to be King...

Comic based on newspaper quote

That's right, Chris...there's a new sheriff in town. (Comparisons to Barney Fife, however accurate, are discouraged.

Where do we send our tributes, your majesty? ;-D

Kelly, an audit of the kingdom's treasury confirms that you, sir, are Paid In Full. ;-)

[Sometimes the King also has to don green eyeshades.]

I'm still working on a way to get back at Jimmy for that line. Any suggestions will be appreciated...

So cute!

P.S. What are you cooking for dinner tonight?

P.S. What are you cooking for dinner tonight?

Whatever I dang well plea...um...I'll let you know when I find out.

Posted by: Eric at August 4, 2005 10:29 AM

LOL, that was funny!

Wow! You're a celebrity now!

You know what's going to happen next, don't you?

A bunch of obsessed groupies are going to set up a site where they post every picture they've ever found of you, going back to your baby photos! (really!)

There's going to be several super-detailed pages on your biography starting with your early childhood and ending with what you had for breakfast yesterday. Talented fans will be posting their own artistic impressions of you, others will be crafting desktops in a variety of resolutions.

The fans will eventually create a message board to post their offers of love, share the dreams they've had involving you, and discuss those really important subjects like your favorite color and flavor of ice cream!

In other words, they're going to duplicate my Blogathon posting plans?

Posted by: Eric at August 4, 2005 07:39 PM

Crap.There goes the monopoly.

Nice!

Eric, I'm on the road, but still in touch ... at least for now. Keep up the good work, and good luck on Blagathon. Sincerely, Jeff, in parts unknowable! :-)

Crap.There goes the monopoly.

Well, it was only a matter of time, big guy. I'm pretty sure I'll be subbing out some of my work...maybe the footnote thingies...let me know if you're interested.

I gotta tell you, I don't know how you do it, day by d...well, that's a bit obvious, isn't it? I've had this stupid comics generating program for, like, six weeks and today's the first day I've had an even halfway decent idea to plug into it. And even then, I'm pretty sure I stole it from someone else.

The King bows to the Supreme Being! ;-)

Jeff, ya'll drive safe and keep the rubber side down and all that good stuff. Above all, have fun and try to keep from asking yourself "are we there yet?"

Posted by: Eric at August 4, 2005 08:46 PM

OOH! Having gone to dinner with you and YLB this week, I can't wait to do it again now that everyone will be staring at us! They'll be so envious that the king is dining with us! I feel royalty rubbing off on us just thinking about it!

Posted by: Phyllis at August 4, 2005 10:06 PM

No, those are chiggers. You've been playing in the lawn again, haven't you?

The King is always available to grace your dining table, as long as you're picking up the check as before. The King's allowance is sadly lacking, you know.

Keep at it, it's a big market. And, we all put our pants on the same way.

Over the head, right?

The only Supreme I know is after 'pizza'...

Posted by: chris muir at August 4, 2005 10:25 PM

Pants?!

I'm a blogger, hombre. I don't need no steenkin' pants!

Say, it was great of you to shine the spotlight on Venomous Kate's dental predicament...and in a hugely hilarious fashion, too!
