Rock the Desert: Good News and Bad News

Rock the Desert starts tomorrow, and after a week of gorgeous weather, here's what The Weather Channel is serving up:

Weather forecast for Fri & Sat

Now, I know I've often moaned about the lack of rainfall in our area, but it would sure be swell if God would just shift those little puffy things with the dashed lines dropping out of them (and especially the ones with the jagged lines coming down) a couple of days into the future. RTD lost a full evening last year due to severe t-storms, and that's not a scenario we want to see repeated.

On the upside, get a load of those forecast high temps! Mid-80s in August in west Texas?! I hope the festival organizers have stocked plenty of space blankets!

Of course, I'll be either preparing for or participating in Blogathon and won't be able to attend any of RTD. I hope someone out there will stop by and give us a report.

Should I send pictures?

If that's the preferred medium...just be sure to provide captions. I don't want to be confusing Toby Mac with Mercy Me. ;-)

Seems like RTD has brought rain nearly every year. Didn't it rain also the year before last?

Yeah, I think this is the third year. But at least nothing has washed out this year...so far!
