Monitoring the 'Thoners

Ever wondered how you can be sure that I and my Blogathon buds are really doing what we're supposed to be doing (that is, posting at least every 30 minutes, not pre-composing posts, looking both ways before we cross the street, not wearing white after Labor Day, and so on)?

Well, as it turns out, there's a dedicated corps of volunteers committed to the unenviable task of jumping from site to site and monitoring compliance. These humble servants go by the title of, um, monitors. They even have their own website.

The monitor who has drawn the black bean for the Gazette is none other than the lovely, intelligent, articulate, athletic, elegant, well-mannered and wise JoSelle. Did I mention how talented and creative she is? (Did I leave out anything, JoSelle?)

Seriously, in addition to monitoring, she's also a 'Thoner, and is composing poetry over on her joint, "Tales of a Post-Post Modern Cowgirl." You might pay her a visit, and thank her for the work she's doing on behalf of Blogathon 2005.
