Your questions answered. Part trois.

My Louisiana blogging pal Dan over at From Behind the Wall of Sleep won't be able to, you know, sleep, until I answer this question: "What's the best food you ever ate that wasn't, strickly speaking, Texan?"

Dan, that's actually a pretty hard question to answer, since, as you well know, the category of "native Texas cuisine" is pretty broad. One could easily argue that because the flags of six nations have flown over Texas, any and all of those nations' delicacies could also accrue to our fair state.

But, sticking to a more reasonable definition, let me just give this simple answer: cheese.

Hah. Bet you didn't see that one coming.

OK, let's get serious. Food is serious business; just ask Jen (no, not that Jen; this Jen!). If forced to name a specific dish, I'd point to the grilled tuna steak with pineapple salsa served at the Pink Adobe in Santa Fe, or the catch of the day at that little seaside café on the westward end of Kralendijk, Bonaire (the name of which restaurant escapes me at the moment, but I can still picture the huge fish from which they carved the delectable offering). In a more generic sense, I'm a big fan of Thai cuisine.

To be honest, I've probably never met a category of food I didn't like!

Have you tried Indian food? Delectable.

Man, you are really going to town with the posts. You're posting on everything! And getting gazillions of comments.

It's fun to see what people are doing this year.

Ah, OK. Back to my own creative disaster which has sapped me dry only 8 hours into the event.

Keep up the great work! I love the whole skin thing you have going on for your blog each hour.

Jen, there's no Indian restaurants within 200 miles of us, as far as I know, but I love tandoori chicken! (I have to admit that some of their desserts leave me a little peckish, however.)

Julie, as usual you're being far too modest (although I can see how you'd be getting tapped out...I wouldn't have made it to 10:00 a.m...not that I'd ever have tried anything so challenging to begin with). You're doing a fantastic job!
