A ground-level view of the oilpatch
Oilfield Trash Part 2 (no, I couldn't locate Part 1) is a view from the ground of the hottest onshore domestic gas play: the Barnett Shale in north Texas.
Don't be fooled by the intentionally hickish demeanor. There's some good market intelligence being thrown around, if you know how to filter for it.
I don't; that's why I'm a web designer.
Oh yeah, they have a website...
Are you referring to the East Texas museum, or to the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum? The latter is quite a showpiece.
Posted by: Eric at August 7, 2005 04:54 AMThe former. I was going to let you google it to give you something to do. ;)
I will have to visit the Permian Basin one next time I'm in West Texas, but I'm a Kilgore College Alum so I'm rather proud of the East Texas Museum- there isn't much else in Kilgore. Except for Rangerettes.
Posted by: Jack Grey at August 7, 2005 05:03 AMWell, when you've got the Rangerettes, you don't really need much else!

That was actually kind of interesting. Ever been to the East Texas Oil Museum in Kilgore? Very cool- I don't know if there is anything like it in West Texas.
Oh yeah, they have a website...
