Household Activity Resumes
MLB has arisen, donned her running clothes and will be giving the treadmill a workout in a few minutes. Sunday is usually a rest day for us, but since we weren't able to ride the longbike yesterday, she's going to get in an early workout.
I, on the other hand, will likely adjourn to the living room with yon PowerBook, and blog the rest of the way from there. I feel quite confident in my ability to keep this whole area a content-free zone for the next three hours or so.
Oh, dagnabbit, I forgot the point of that comment: You're doing brilliantly, and I know you can keep it going.
Posted by: Bakerina at August 7, 2005 05:17 AMMy evil plan was to shock any readers into a stupor by quoting Cynthia Heimel's fantasy...
You know, that seems to be a common strategy in the wee hours of the morning, shifting to somewhat more, um, racy topics. (I have to be careful with my wording; my comment spam filter is quite narrowminded!)
Anyway, thanks for the kind words and encouragement. Onward and upward! (Even though it took me three tries to complete that phrase...)
Posted by: Eric at August 7, 2005 05:23 AMMy allergies were kicking up this morning, or else I would still be in my nice cold bedroom with two fans, a snoring husband and new doggie.
Rusty slept through so far with nary a whimper or movement that I detected. He did hear me get up, I patted his head ( he is lying on an old blanket on the floor beside my bed), and he curled right back up for more zzzz's. I think he is going to work out just fine.
I say that and it hasn't been a full day of him outside without us beside him...
Posted by: Cowtown Pattie at August 7, 2005 05:26 AMYou gotta think positive...he'll pick up on it, you know?
Posted by: Eric at August 7, 2005 05:31 AMwelcome to the home stretch my good man...I enjoyed the picture that came to mind re: the early morning tumble (or was it "night tripping") in the back yard! I can't say your coney w/ jalapenos sounds too good this early in the day though. too early in the day to get it started for me...back to that nice warm bed! oh...sorry!
Posted by: lyle at August 7, 2005 05:32 AMI assume Rusty is not the husband ;>)
Posted by: lyle at August 7, 2005 05:35 AMLyle, you are a veddy, veddy bad man!

Oh, dear, don't you worry. I've been content-free for a good 90 minutes now. My evil plan was to shock any readers into a stupor by quoting Cynthia Heimel's fantasy about Fidel Castro and Margaret Thatcher. It seems to have worked.
