FeedBlitz: Gazette by Email?
I'm experimenting with FeedBlitz, a free service that channels a blog's RSS feed into an email that readers can subscribe to, if they prefer to read posts in that manner rather than via their browser.
This post is actually a test of the capability, with me being the sole subscriber. If I like what I see, I'll think about adding the code for the free subscription, in the unlikely event that any of you really want to get yet another stream of useless emails in your inbox.
If any of you have experience with FeedBlitz, either as a publisher or subscriber, feel free to weigh in with your opinion of the service.
I'm trying this out at the recommendation of Life Beyond Code, which blog I came across via the always elegant White Pebble.
Technorati tag: FeedBlitz
Scott, that is something I'll have to think about. I just got the first FeedBlitz email and it contains just the excerpt, along with a link to the actual post. That's just like an RSS feed, but I don't think that people who subscribe to an email delivery want that. I would imagine that they want to read the whole post via the email.
Decisions, decisions...

It's all about the content, man...

No, people like you who subscribe to the feed want the whole post. Not everyone does.
Sure, content is ultimately king. But being able to screen the content to find what you want to read is also important, especially when there's much more content than time to read it.
It's an interesting issue, and I go back and forth on it.

If you're going to do this, will you consider doing a full RSS feed now?
