And 11 Coaches Lift an Audible Prayer of Thanksgiving
OK, make that twelve coaches. I'm sure USC doesn't want to face him again.
I guess he saw how well that second year worked out for Matt Leinart. :-)
Seriously, though, I don't think the Longhorns are going to be hurting for talent any time soon.
Posted by: bryan at January 8, 2006 08:26 PMPatty, I'm sure he'll understand if I can't manage to work up much sympathy to his psychological state. And I'm sure that a certain ROTC major is looking forward to visiting with him tomorrow (which may be part of the problem).
Bryan, the raw facts don't support your thesis: ONE red-shirt quarterback who's never taken a gameday snap, and some promising recruits.
I'm the last one to underestimate Mack Brown's coaching ability, but Young is leaving some huge empty shoes.

Posted by: Wallace-Midland, Texas at January 8, 2006 09:32 PMHow 'bout a whole Cadillac dealership?!
Posted by: Eric at January 8, 2006 09:37 PMAmazing, but I saw on the AP report that Young is the first player to leave early for the NFL draft in Brown's 8 year career at Texas. That speaks to a high level of commitment to academics.
And hey, Brown's lost like, what, two games per year so far? I'm sure he's got something up his sleeve. Whatever it is, I predict they'll be a lot heavier on the running back game next season.
