"The Book of Daniel"

If you, like me, didn't catch the premier of the "controversial" new NBC-TV show The Book of Daniel, and also, like me, were treated to a number of negative reviews which, ironically, came from people who also didn't see the show, you might want to see what Deb -- who did see the show -- thought about it.

I blogged my thoughts on the Book of Daniel too:

Note also that I didn't see it, but it's more or less a commentary on all the madness of these crazy protesters

Bryan, J.D. -- Thanks for the links. I tend to think you're both right: the show is hardly "quality TV" but it also doesn't merit the hue and cry that we're hearing from some corners. Perhaps it's a matter of picking the right battles, but I just can't get exercised over something like this.

OTOH, I also can't figure out why "Hollywood" keeps trying to market something like this. It's not done well enough (according to Bryan) to entertain the non-believers, and it's got enough offensive content that believers aren't going to tune in. What's left...agnostics without taste? ;-)

I was thinking that myself. If you're going to hack off half the country, it should at least be a spectacularly done show, not something just slapped together. Honestly, if Wildmon and the AFA would've kept their mouths shut, nobody would've paid attention to this stuff.
