SB Finale
That's the game. Bill Cowher's crying like a little girl on the sideline...and he's the winner.
OK, I missed most of the second quarter. Perhaps that's when all the good commercials aired, but otherwise, this was a disappointing outing for ad fans. I counted zero five-ant ads and just four four-anters. But here's my lineup of winners:
- Sierra Mist's "Fake Security Wand Mouth Noises"
- Bud Light's "Magic Fridge"
- Fed Ex "Dinosaurs and Cavemen"
- Budweiser "Little Clyde"
Feel free to leave your top picks in the comments, especially if there were some good ones I missed.
It's been fun. Let's do it again in, say, 12 months.

I'm so happy they finally won the Series!
Posted by: Eric at February 5, 2006 09:13 PMWere the Steelers playing? ;-)
I'm voting for Bud Light's "Magic Fridge". Totally silly! :)
Posted by: Denise at February 5, 2006 09:39 PMOK, enough of football and ads......where was your review of the Rolling Stones©??
I think they were worth mentioning if for no other reason than their combined ages is probably over 240 years.
Posted by: Wallace-Midland, Texas at February 5, 2006 11:23 PMI missed The Big Game.
An alluring shrimp scampi recipe beckoned...
Were there any wardrobe malfunctions during the half-time show this year?
Posted by: Mr. Freen at February 6, 2006 05:08 AMWallace, you just weren't paying attention. I've heard that happens as you get older.
Mr. Freen, fortunately, no. As it was, we saw too much of those guys to begin with. Although I must admit that Jagger's quip about them wanting to play SB I was pretty funny.
Posted by: Eric at February 6, 2006 06:36 AMI'm with you Jeff! STEELERS!!!!
As a kid who grew up in the 70's in Pittsburgh last night was a long awaited revisit to my childhood-finally, one for the thumb! Brian saw a side of me he's never seen before as I hooted and hollered in our living room. It was awesome!
I could do with more of that in 12 months!
And as for the ads "Little Clyde" was by far my favorite ad for the night. Unbelievably cute.
Posted by: Jennifer at February 6, 2006 08:02 AMOh, no...not another Steelers fan! ;-)
To their credit, they did put together an amazing end-of-the-season run, probably the best in NFL history. Pittsburgh fans have a good reason to be proud of their team, and I hope they'll enjoy having that Ryder Cup in their locker room.
