The first request from The Niece following her surgery: "Can you go get my cell phone?"

"Why can't you use the phone here in the room?"

"I need to see who's called me."

I have a similar story...my teenager was admitted to the emergency room last fall with severe stomach pains, headache, etc. and in just one evening as an invalid still managed to make 40 (40!!!) phone calls. I did eventually take away the cell phone and then had to unplug the ER phone. Sheesh!

Glad your niece is feeling better. :-)

These days its a pretty quick recovery time unless you are difficult like me!

If she were a businessperson and did the same thing about clients, people would shake their heads/compliment her on her dedication to the job.

She takes her responsibilities seriously!
