Friday WIT

The sister of a local Gazette reader (and former co-worker) is a member of a performing group that's part of the Washington (D.C.) Improv Theater (aka WIT). That group entered a short movie in the 2005 48 Hour Film Project, which is a cool competition in which teams are presented with a topic and several required elements, and then given 48 hours (duh) to make a short film.

The group's 2005 effort, entitled Occupational Hazard won several awards including Best Picture and Best Direction. I present for your viewing pleasure a film that carries on the honorable traditions of The Office, ...Occupational Hazard.

Oh...the sister is the blonde woman in the film; her real name is Molly. A short bio is here.

Thanks, Eric! Good to know WIT has such a devoted (2-person) fanbase in Midland. We're heading out to the Cinequest Film Festival next weekend in San Jose for the screening and awards ceremony. Wish us luck!

We did another one in high-def that stars my guinea pig, Franklin. Best. Pig. Ever.

Molly, I think that with the Gazette's intergalactic readership, we can easily come close to almost doubling that fanbase.

Thanks for dropping by; I think "Multiverse" will do well, if there's any taste and good judgment left in the world. Oh, and good luck with your pig wrangling career. It's an honorable profession you've chosen.

My husband and I loved the film, Molly (and Eric!).
Steve laughed all the way through it! Thanks for sharing, Eric!
