Bougainvillea in our front yard. Both colors of blossoms originate from the same branch. They start out pink and eventually turn white.

Mexican Bird of Paradise
Wish I could take credit, Gwynne. It's really just a combination of God and Canon, and even then, God did the heavy lifting. ;-)

Those are both awesome.
A combination of God and Cannon sounds like a Civil War novel. :)
Posted by: beth at June 21, 2006 09:52 AMIt looks kinda like a flowering bush called "The Pride of Barbados"...
Posted by: Cowtown Pattie at June 21, 2006 10:07 AMAnd you claim not to be particularly artistic! Ha!
There's a great deal of pleasure in cooperating with God (and Cannon) to bring beauty to light. I'm sure you're smiling.
Posted by: Phyllis at June 21, 2006 10:46 AMJust thought I would weigh in here. The second picture is not an orange bell - it's a red bird of paradise. Said orange bell has just been procured and is not in the ground yet or blooming.
Posted by: MLB at June 21, 2006 11:47 AMAhh...that's right! I remember now. I'll correct the post.
Posted by: Eric at June 21, 2006 12:00 PMVery pretty.
