"We have much less trouble with your software when it's not installed"

According to this article, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said "Microsoft will never again wait so long to release a new version of Windows."

Microsoft's stock was down 18% on the news.

Ha. I crack myself up. Again. But, admit it. You thought the same thing when you read that.

Heh.

What struck me more was the 80% chance of hitting with Vista in January which was followed by a mental, "And thereafter there'll be 80% chance it'll work on a given day."

Releasing Vista right after everyone's spent all their money on Christmas gifts in December probably won't do much for the stock price either, come next February.

I have to wonder whether they will ever release it at this rate. Lucky I'm not holding my breath!

Meanwhile Apple has upgraded its OSX 4 times now, 5 times by next month. Still stable, changed "platforms" and all the features M$ can't seem to copy fast enough. And by the way, whenever M$ gets "Vista" out .... the Macintels will run it too.

Watch it, Bleu...some folks might read your comment and peg you as one of them wild-eyed, Steve-Jobs-Koolaid-drinking Mac Addicts! ;-)

By the way, I apologize for the length of time it's taken me to add your excellent photoblog to the Gazette's blogroll.
