According to this article, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said "Microsoft will never again wait so long to release a new version of Windows."
Microsoft's stock was down 18% on the news.
Ha. I crack myself up. Again. But, admit it. You thought the same thing when you read that.
Releasing Vista right after everyone's spent all their money on Christmas gifts in December probably won't do much for the stock price either, come next February.

Posted by: Rachel at July 12, 2006 07:59 PMMeanwhile Apple has upgraded its OSX 4 times now, 5 times by next month. Still stable, changed "platforms" and all the features M$ can't seem to copy fast enough. And by the way, whenever M$ gets "Vista" out .... the Macintels will run it too.

What struck me more was the 80% chance of hitting with Vista in January which was followed by a mental, "And thereafter there'll be 80% chance it'll work on a given day."
