Light the torches; loft the pitchforks...
Landis doped? Say it ain't so, Floyd.
It just never ends, does it?
Sigh.
And now I remember why I quit caring about professional sports.
Posted by: beth at July 27, 2006 10:19 AMBret, I'm open to convincing otherwise, but, really, the damage is done, regardless of the second test. It's not fair, but such is the legacy that pro cycling has created for itself.
Beth, I second that sigh.
Posted by: Eric at July 27, 2006 10:28 AMThe system for testing for doping in pro cycling can be as corrupt and manipulated as the sport can. I watched a special about Greg Lemond and his TdF wins. He claims to have gone to great lengths to maintain the integrity of the urine and blood samples he gave the UCI.

That backup sample better be clean. This totally sucks.
