We have a winner...

We have a winner in our fabulous "Come By HEB and Compliment My Dog" contest.

She was reluctant, claiming that her dog was actually the cutest, but you know that people will do almost anything -- including smash their previously absolute moral foundations -- to win Gazette merchandise.

Congratulations, Toni...the tile will go well in your new home!

Anyway, even though you can't win that contest, you could still come up to HEB and say hi. We have two large bags of M&Ms, which I'm happy to share with you (since they belong to Jimmy).

So, um, what does HEB stand for? Did you ever say?

Your nephew was so distraught at losing the cutest dog contest that he came home and managed to spray breath freshener in his eye.

Sorry, Adam.....about the coaster: I'd have thought that your uncle would have given you one already (or sold it to you at a slightly "marked up" price). I'll loan it to you.

And, for the M& Ms......what happened to those while WE were visiting? (bet ya saw Tommy coming and told Jimmy to hide 'em)

By the way: we KNOW that first music clip, and we're just gonna kick ourselves when we find out the answer. Thanks for acknowledgin my great accomplishment for the "whole blogging world" - now I've gotta go outside and get to work!

Beth, HEB stands for "H.E. Butts," the patriarch of the Butts family, a very prominent one in Texas. But, you can see why they decided to go with initials for the grocery chain. ;-)

Patty, that sounds like something he would do. I wish I'd known this when the Niece stopped by.

Toni, yes, you will kick yourselves. Try not to hurt anything.

And the M&Ms didn't show up until after you left. AND...I never got any. Jimmy packed 'em up and took 'em with him.
