What's sadder than blogging for 24 consecutive hours?

I'm not sure, but I think there's a clue in the following sentence, pulled from an email sent by a friend with regard to the Gazette's Blogathon involvement:

I hate to tell you this but [name withheld to protect the geeky] and I are tracking this as if it was college draft day.

Talk about pressure. Not only do I have to live up to my commitment to the pledgers, I have to be entertaining for two guys with too much time on their hands!

Uhhmmmm,

Gosh....that sounds a bit close to home.....and verified via IM.....

Which reminds me....what about the IM thingy?

Mark, I'm going to wait until after 8:00 p.m. to turn on IM. Things are too hectic around here for me to concentrate on that right now.

If I forget, remind me. Unless, of course, you find something better to do. ;-)

Hey this might cheer you up. My wife and girls all went to HEB to say HEY but you had just left. At least they were thinking of you but just got delayed with all their shopping. :)

Gene, I'm sorry I missed them. Jimmy and I needed to pack things up a bit early in order to get back home and get re-established in time for the next posts.

Hey, here is another way to look at it...my wife just passed through and said this was nothing different than the old telethons....we can remember supporting Jerry, right? Who would give up on Jerry in his time of need?

Your our Jerry Lewis, Eric...we're here for you buddy.

So, this is one good reason to only unofficially participate. No pressure on me! :) But I'm looking to be entertained here too, Eric, so ...oh hey, is that a baby squirrel?

Your our Jerry Lewis

I can't really express to you what that means to me. ;-)
