Album Cover Contest #2
Update: This one got solved, and it was as difficult as I predicted.
We seem to be in this soggy rut, but let's play it on out. While you continue to think about that last pesky tune in the song medley, here's an album cover to worry over:

I've given up guessing which contests will be easy and which will be challenging. But, I think this one's pretty difficult, so it's open to any Gazette pledger, previous winner or not, and the prize is a coffee mug.
Sorry; I meant to uncover more before now, and got distracted. You know, baby squirrels and all...
There's more to see now.
Posted by: Eric at July 30, 2006 01:12 AMWohoo, I know it! After searching a list of 614 album covers containing cars...The answer is: 99 Luftballons by Nena!
This has made my day!
Posted by: Rach at July 30, 2006 06:08 AMBy the way, it was number 606!
Posted by: Rach at July 30, 2006 06:12 AMThat's amazing, Rachel...you did it! Congratulations.
Have you heard of the record? It was well before your time.
Can you wait until you get here to take possession of your mug, or will it be too much trouble to transport?
Posted by: Eric at July 30, 2006 06:12 AMThe name sounds vaguely familiar but I wouldn't know it if I tripped over it! It was the year I turned 5 :).
I can wait - It's enough to know that I finally won something hehe!
Posted by: Rach at July 30, 2006 06:17 AMCongrats Rachel...May I ask what kind of search engine you were able to do something like that with?
Posted by: Mark at July 30, 2006 06:17 AMI googled 'albums with greens cars' which brought up this http://rateyourmusic.com/list/knuten/he_thought_of_cars______album_cover_art/
Then it was just a case of going through them one by one!
Posted by: Rach at July 30, 2006 06:22 AMEric, you will be proud to know that I was able to discern that the first "letter" in the name was not a letter at all because the curve did not match that of the exposed "S" and was too narrow to be a "C" or a "G" or an "O" or a "Q." This is the kind of font sensitivity that I have picked up over here. ;-)
But it never even dawned on me that it might be a number. And I even have that LP or tape somewhere. Sheesh!
Congratulations, Rachel! Your persistence amazes me...that's a lot of images to look at! :-)
