Your Orders for the Day

OK, here's what you do.

  1. Go here. Familiarize yourself with "Milk Truffles."

  2. Go find a store that sells Hershey's Milk Truffles.

  3. Buy two bags.

  4. Send one bag to me. Immediately. Before even reading Step 5.

  5. Eat as much as you want out of the remaining bag, and wonder why you're just now discovering this chocolate that's much better than it has any right to be, considering it's not European.

  6. Consider whether you're grateful enough to repeat steps 3 and 4, again and again. I should think you would be.

I cannot repeat it strongly enough: do not do step 5 before completing step 4. Trust me on this.

Comments

I'm sorry Eric, but I did not see a link to Milk Truffles on your home page.

Looks like I'll have to eat them myself, whatever they are.

Not so fast, Selfish Chocolate Eater. Reload and try again.

DUDE!!! How about I get a bag of milk truffles for you and dark truffles for me?

Oh yeah!

So...um...are you gonna publish your address? Cause I'll send you a bag. I know what it's like to be in dire need of chocolate and have none immediately available. It's a sad, sad day.

Jim, I'd probably prefer the dark chocolate myself, but I haven't tried it. I have tried the milk chocolate (my wife's a big fan) and it's really good.

Beth, I'll take a rain check on that, because I'm not sure I trust some of the people who read this blog -- I'll mention no names but I think you know who she is -- not to intercept my chocolate. ;-)

Okay, that's it, there is nothing to eat like that at this office (irregardless of the myth that surrounds those healthy people in red coveralls and red hardhats....you know, the one that teaches all the workers in the field to not pass up a single restaurant or Town & Country 'cause you don't know when you might get in from that next job) and it's 9pm so I'm going home. Your post made me realize I'm way past suppertime!

I'm sure you're really hoping people send you the dark ones as a genuine act of kindness in regard to your health. Think of what they'll do for your heart! (Like yours isn't in totally top shape already from the incredible workouts you continually give it!)

Yes, that's the ticket...it's for my health!

Janie, just make sure you eat something besides chocolate for dinner. ;-)

Posted by: Eric at August 30, 2006 09:34 PM

And with no trans fats I can eat 3 bags!

Posted by: Wallace-Midland, Texas at August 30, 2006 10:35 PM

Darn...now I guess I just have to eat two bags by myself. Oh well...I did try.

(Hahahahaha...my evil plan is finally falling into place!)

Oh, did I say that out loud? :)

Posted by: beth at August 31, 2006 06:38 AM

As if I would be sending anyone chocolate. As if it would even make it home from the store.

Posted by: Julie at August 31, 2006 03:41 PM

Wallace, I tell you, the health angle is pure gold, amigo.

Beth, I think you need to post a comparative taste test of the milk chocolate and the dark. I don't think any evil plan has a chance of success without a taste test.

I pity the fool who gets between Julie and her chocolate.
