*By the way, I'm too cool to meme, too. Just so you know.
Beth, please feel free to indulge in my honor. We'll both feel better. ;-)
I look forward to your memish endeavors!
Posted by: Eric at August 31, 2006 06:29 PMwow, i don't know whether to feel honored or insulted... mainly because i don't know what the heck meme means. so, a quick wiki-journey later, i see that it is somehow related to memory.
my question, eric, is: do you want to be associated with something coined by Richard Dawkins, one of the most famous atheistic evolutionary biologists of all time??? i mean, if you're ok with that...
my answers forthcoming soon.
Posted by: kyle at August 31, 2006 07:00 PMRichard Dawkins? I thought he was a game show host.
Well, I guess I'd rather be associated with an atheistic evolutionary biologist than a game show host.
A blogger who doesn't know about memes? Sheesh. Sometimes I think youth is wasted on the young.
Posted by: Eric at August 31, 2006 07:31 PMhaha close! it was richard DAWSON who hosted family feud for a while. my roommate and i used to watch him on gameshow network in college while doing homework. he was kind of creepy.
i think he and richard dawkins might be related though... i mean, atheistic biology and game show hosting both require about the same amount of intelligence. and if you think about it, it was only richard dawson who got to kiss a lot of girls (albeit that some were quite old), so even among those two, he seems to outwit dawkins.
i've just confused myself.
Posted by: kyle at August 31, 2006 10:09 PMCripes! That's me!
Hey, I'm working on one of those 100 Things thingees, so gimme a break. :)
Posted by: Denise at August 31, 2006 11:38 PMDenise, this is a good way to get in shape for the hundred things thing. Take your time...don't worry about all the unsatisfied visitors who will drop by your place.
Posted by: Eric at September 1, 2006 08:55 AMI'm still trying to figure out what made 1997 so much worse than say, 1996?
Posted by: Gwynne at September 1, 2006 09:52 AMi think you meant 1995-2000.
btw, my answers (admittedly not as excellent as yours, eric) are up at kylelent.com
Posted by: kyle at September 1, 2006 12:17 PMso, do you think that i'm still too cool to meme?? that'll teach you to ever think i'm cool again.

I haven't done this one so look for it tomorrow. :) And I'll send you chocolate - is Midland small enough that if I send it to Eric c/o Midland General Post it'll find you? (Los Alamos is actually small enough that you can address it to the persons name and LA, NM with the zip and it'll get there. Some things about small towns are good.) Otherwise, I'll just have to suffer and eat chocolate in your honor. It's a difficult thing, but, well, I'm up to the task.
