Condolences to a Friend
Please stop by Wallace's place and leave a note of condolence for the passing of the Big Gold Dog, Tres, Wallace's companion for many years.
I have to think that Tres has one of those big ol' goofy grins that his breed is known for when they're having fun, and is chasing squirrels and rabbits to beat the band in his big open field that also goes by the name of heaven.
I've decided that the Bible doesn't say anything about Heaven for pets because God figured that it was so obvious a thing that He didn't need to explain it.
Unlike almost everything else in life that the human heart can overlook, distort, or otherwise fail to understand, we instinctively grasp the significance of pets' lives in our own.
Posted by: Eric at September 17, 2006 09:54 PMThanks to all my friends, including those that I have not met yet, for their kind sympathy on the loss of my best buddy. He was the kindest, gentlest, most loyal soul I've encountered on earth.

There is a place in Heaven, not only for man, but for his most faithful of companions, as well ...
Just ask Chris Nielsen, after his first encounter with another in the afterlife imagined by Richard Matheson, in "What Dreams May Come" ...
Or, you could ask Hyder Simpson, who doesn;t care to enter what he's been told is Heaven, because it won't allow his coon dog, Rip, to join him ... from an episode of the original "Twilight Zone" series ...
Or you could ask just about anyone who has owned - and been owned by - a dog.
