The Web's most simplest site?

What's your reaction to this?

Hat tip to this coumn in the Wall Street Journal.

I'm going out to Ramona Ave and find out what's up with this? Be back soon.

Wallace, you can save your gas money. The WSJ article has the whole story behind the website and the creator. It's not really a mystery.

Reaction: Yes. So tired, in fact, that I'm not even going to write you an email to tell you why. Or is that part "lazy"? I'm to tired to decide.

I loooove newspapers that make you register to read their articles...can you summarize for those of us who are either too tired or lazy (see above) to bother?

Beth, the article is irrelevant to this post. (I linked to the WSJ only out of an overdeveloped sense of blogging etiquette, recognizing that the newspaper couldn't care less.) Plus, unless you're a subscriber, you can't view it anyway, unless it also shows up in their free online content, which I'm too tired or lazy to check.

Who cares?

That's my response.

If they really cared why I'm tired, they'd tell me why they want to know. Plus, I need pictures. That website bores me. It also irritates me with its coyness. And another thing...I don't like the font. This, of all sites, should be in Comic Sans to more fully justify my annoyance.

Um, you didn't design that website, did you? Because I know we've talked about how "simple" is good, but this is more like putting a pile of christmas lights in the corner and calling it art.

Eric, for another simple site nomination, try www.purple.com

Gwynne, tell us what you really think. ;-)

Chris, can you believe that some people actually think there's nothing good on the internet?!

Posted by: Eric at December 13, 2006 10:13 PM

Christmas lights in the corner... How absurd! Everyone knows they need to be jumbled in a pile in front of a flat wall.

I like purple.com. It's even less effort than tired.com. Perfect for lazy and/or time-constrained individuals.

Stephen, you must have missed all the hidden links on purple.com. It's actually a multi-page website, unlike tired.com.
