Collapsing into the New Year

I'll readily admit it: I'm a creature of habit, and these past two weeks have been a challenge from that perspective. My wife has been taking some well-deserved vacation, as have most of my clients, and the typical holiday social schedule seems to foster a certain lack of discipline. Thus, while it was enjoyable in its own way, I was looking forward a bit to getting back into a regular routine.

What I failed to remember was that 5:25 a.m. is a part of that routine.

Well, at least my New Year's resolution is still intact, the one where I promised to post something every day of 2007, so I've got that going for...um...well. Oops.

There's always 2008.

Don't you know you get the 1st off as a freebie with all resolutions? :) Then again, as I like to say, "Carpe Laterim" (rough translation: Seize it when you get around to it.)

Happy New Year! :)

But then there's the possibility of backdating this post. 8-}

Happy New Year!

I've tried to do the "post every day" routine from time to time, but I've come to the conclusion that my life is simply not interesting enough.

Of course, there are those who would argue that it's not interesting enough to post anywhere near as often as I do ("Once a decade ought to be enough..."), but I choose not to listen to those voices. They always fade out after I take my meds, anyway.

Thanks, guys. Prospero aņo nuevo to you, as well.

But then there's the possibility of backdating this post.

My other resolution was to quit lying. Oops.

...but I've come to the conclusion that my life is simply not interesting enough.

Well, see, there's your problem, right there. You seem to have the misguided notion that bloggers must have interesting lives. It'll be a sad day for the Gazette if that ever truly becomes one of the requirements for continued posting.

Well, now see, you've posted twice in one day. So now, you could just change the "effective" date of this post, not technically "backdating" anything. ;-)

Been doing any options consulting lately, Gwynne? ;-)

I used to work for Arthur Andersen.*

* Not true. ;-)
