Lunatic Texans on Ice

Probably the only thing worse than driving on slick streets following an ice storm and surrounded by Texans who don't know what they're doing, is knowing that among them is Jimmy Patterson who is also operating a camcorder and narrating the action while behind the wheel.

Next up: Jimmy runs with scissors.

You mean there are Texans that DO know what they're doing??

Sorry, had to. ;)

Video Driving ... I think it might be the next YouTube craze. Are you with me? Let's .... goooooooooooooooooo!

Hey, that's dangerous. I would never do such a thing.

Now, taking still pictures, I do that all the time. That's OK.

I think.

Dude. Another West Texas who has yet to take the Smith Driving Course...

or maybe he did. He is (kind of) Big Picture driving...;)

I meant "West Texan"...maybe I should take the "Smith Typing Course."

I do have a fairly sizeable viewfinder. I think I'm safe.

Oh, here we go...the inevitable "my viewfinder is bigger than yours" argument.

I'm handicapped by dial-up and not able to view the entire video, but is Jimmy driving on the sidewalk?

Posted by: gwynne at January 24, 2007 11:30 PM

I think that was the most dramatic film clip that Jimmy has done since he filmed himself coming to my door!!

Posted by: Wallace at January 24, 2007 11:41 PM

Gwynne, yes, he is indeed driving on the sidewalk. That's just one of the terms of the plea bargain arrangement made after his recent unfortunate experience involving a school zone, a mime, three ferrets and a bowling ball.

I beg to differ guys. That is actually a driveway at the Wadley Duplexes, Gwynne. We used to live there so I was familiar with driving while videotaping. 'Twasnt nearly as dangerous as it first appeared.

And Wallace you are absolutely correct, it was the most dramatic. However consider yourself lucky I didn't film myself at dinner at Johnny's last night.

Boy, Jimmy, talk about taking all the fun out of libel...

Posted by: Eric at January 25, 2007 10:02 AM

That's just one of the terms of the plea bargain...

Heh. I never use more than 2 ferrets. Poor Jimmy. First American Idol, now this. I tried to warn him. ;-)
