Hill Country Trip Report Forthcoming

We made it home without incident this afternoon and I hope to have a complete report of our weekend posted within a day or so. Those of you who enjoy visiting the Fredericksburg area might want to stay tuned, because we (well, MLB, to be precise) found an absolute gem of a bed and breakfast that's far enough off the beaten path that you may not know about it. Yet.

Here's a teaser: picture a 150+ year old log cabin equipped with a jacuzzi tub, satellite TV, and -- as you've seen -- its own herd of llamas. Oh, and no telephone.

Wow, sounds like fun. I wish we could go to something like that. *sigh*

Off the beaten path is usually better. No phones? Does that mean you left your cell phone home? It's hard to escape in this modern age.

You gotta tell...sounds wonderful, unless the llamas are champion spitters.

A log cabin, jacuzzi and no phones sounds like just what the doctor ordered! *sigh* is right, Stephen. ;-)

Bob, we did have our cell phones but the local provider refused to speak to ours so they were worthless for anything but long distance. Go figure.

Glad you're back and that you had fun. B&Bs rock, or as Tim would say (and as is amazingly appropriate in this situation) - they rock the llama. :)

Tim really says that? ;-)

Fredricksburg is a really neat place. Did you eat at the Gin. If not, save your nickels and dimes and try that. Next time your down, call and we'll meet you there and buy your dinner.

Danny, we've eaten there a couple of times but we just didn't have time this trip. There are a couple of other restaurants we actually like better, which I'll write about if I can ever get some of these pesky clients taken care of for a while.

I didn't see any mention of....rats.... ;-)

Posted by: sherry at April 10, 2007 02:41 PM

The only rats we saw were seven feet tall, had hoofs, and looked like they might spit at us.

Well, except for...you know...

Eric,

Rocking the Llama is the highest form of praise in the Sleepy household. I know that it's odd. But then...so are we. :)
