I'm still here...

...despite all appearances to the contrary.

Posting will resume when I come up with something interesting or intelligent to write.

Gee, I almost was able to type that with a straight face. Don't worry; we're not changing the criteria for posts around here.

I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one who has dry spells. Or busy spells that appear to be dry spells.

I've been having a busy/dry/lazy spell myself. Just glad you're still around and kicking.

Hey - whatever happened to your Bike Hack? Did you finish it?

Foo, you hit the nail on the head with the "busy spell" observation. Although I think they're related. If I get too busy, I can't focus on specific topics long enough to -- oh, look! -- a baby squirrel!

Ahem. Where was I?

Beth, thanks soooo much for bringing up yet another thing that I've not been able to get to. ;-)

Hey, I'm here for you, Eric. You know that.

Need a papercut? I've got some lemon juice handy.

Suffering from ennui? Maybe we, your devoted readers, can help. How about a small writing game from us? I offer three words, which you can use any way you choose, even with other words.

Blacktop, thundercloud, remote control.

My bad. Of course you get to use other words! I meant other words suggested by your readers :)

I am in favour of some more Fire ant gazette readings :)! Maybe in them you could mention squirrels, New Zealand and a pirate named crazybeard. How's that for random?

Rachel, I'll try to work something in, but don't hold your breath for anything soon. Those recordings are more time-consuming than written posts, and I'm already having trouble making time for them!
