In case you need me...
...I'll be in an undisclosed location watching this, which I received yesterday as an early birthday present from my brother and his wife.
This could prove to be a very unproductive week for me.
Technorati tag: Firefly
Oooh, lucky! We got this recently as well, but it's goign to have to wait til August (when school is out) for us to watch.
Posted by: beth at June 18, 2007 11:05 AMBeth, I'm torn between telling you how much I admire your discipline, and advising you to get your priorities straight. ;-)
Posted by: Eric at June 18, 2007 12:54 PMThere's nothing to admire. I gave them to my sister and told her, on pain of little sisterly torment, that she was not to give them back until I was finished with school, no matter how much I begged. :)
As for priorities...with the extreme procrastination that has been the theme of my life the past week or two, I probably do need to get them straightened out.

Yeah, well, that wasn't actually going to exactly be the direction of my advice. ;-)

Posted by: Jeff at June 18, 2007 06:57 PMJeff, you never saw Serenity, the best space cowboy mutant cannibal movie ever made?!
It was based on the Firefly TV series.
Posted by: Eric at June 18, 2007 08:13 PMWe also have the Firefly videos and the movie Serenity. I think we watch an episode at least once a week. Of course the men in my family are enthralled by the exquisite Inara, played by Morena Baccarin. And Zoe, and Kaylee, and even the fey and fragile (ha) River.
Posted by: Deborah at June 18, 2007 08:50 PMI was going to impress you on your birthday about how I remembered it was your birthday but you've already mentioned it now hehe.
So how come you get it a week and two days early (going on NZ time here)?
Posted by: Rach at June 18, 2007 08:56 PMDeborah, I came to "Firefly" via "Serenity," rather than the other way around. I had never seen "Firefly" and thus the movie was a complete and wonderful surprise. It's fun to start filling in the backstories. Inara's OK – she sometimes reminds me of Teri Hatcher – but I prefer both Zoe and Kaylee, character-wise.
Rach, it's a matter of logistics. We happened to be in the same town this weekend, and we won't be for my birthday. But, you still get credit. ;-)
