A Charlie Brown Poinsettia

The thing about poinsettias is that they tend to overstay their welcome. We swore that wouldn't happen this year.

But, sometimes it's hard to know the right time to pull the plug. We may be getting close on this one. What do you think?

Nah. It's got plenty of life left in it.

Good Grief! :-)

Seriously, even when they've lost the lush holiday colors, you can keep them growing throughout the year, with the promise of returned glory. Midland County's Extension Agent could tell you how, or a Texas Master Gardener, if you know one ..... also, information online.

you can keep them growing

That would be the "you" who can keep a live plant alive, and not the "you" who can't keep an artificial plant looking healthy. That last "you" is us.

LOL. I think it's OK until all the leaves are gone and the branches are all brown.

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" comes to mind ...

I've got one looks just like that. Right down to the pot.

I think I'm going to file a complaint with Poinsettias International. This is horrendous, even though Christmas is 11 days past. It is obvious you and YLB have spent more time perusing old 8 tracks than investing good conversational time in your poinsettia. ;)

Yeah, and that was the healthiest one of the bunch!

Isn't your life complicated enough right now? Toss it.

Ruthless practicality. I like it.

The poinsettia sleeps with the fishes.

Just blame it's demise on global warming. That's the all-purpose excuse of the 21st Century.

Poor little poinsettia...doomed to sleeping with fish...
