Those of us living in the Permian Basin already knew this, but Mother Nature gave us a reminder yesterday of where the pot of gold is located:

For the uninitiated (or myopic), the rainbow is either leading to or emanating from (or both) an oil pumping unit.

This photo was taken yesterday evening by our friend Toni from the backyard of her country estate south of Midland.

We have no putting greens, but we do have a less- than- stellar croquet course!

Yeah, but you had to BORROW a croquet set! How do you expect to maintain an image of hoity-toityness if you don't have your own croquet set?
