The Fire Ant Gazette - Midland, Texas

This duck is often seen foraging in the marshy section north of our pond. I don't know why he/she is alone; I always thought ducks were communal creatures. Perhaps this one lost his bearings and forgot how to go north for the summer. Photo taken in Midland, Texas.
